Is your phone eSIM-compatible?

Every iPhone from the XR and XS (2018) onwards. Two exceptions worth knowing: iPhones sold in mainland China have no eSIM, and US models from the iPhone 14 onwards are eSIM-only with no physical SIM tray at all.

Flagships from the Galaxy S20 onwards. The Galaxy S10 and older do not support eSIM — a common source of confusion. Mid-range A-series support varies by region, so open SIM Manager and look for “Add eSIM” to be sure.

Every Pixel from the Pixel 3 onwards supports eSIM. Pixel units bought in some Asian markets can behave differently, so confirm with the EID check below.

Xiaomi is the brand where the regional variant matters most. Global versions of the flagship Xiaomi series generally support eSIM, but most Redmi and POCO models do not, and no unit sold in mainland China does — the same model number can differ from one market to the next. Always run the EID check below before buying.

Oppo and OnePlus enable eSIM on their flagship lines in selected markets only — European, Japanese and US variants are the most likely to have it. Realme devices rarely do. The EID check is the reliable answer for these brands.

Support here is narrower than the model lists suggest: vivo enables eSIM on very few international variants, Honor on its Magic flagships, and Huawei on a handful of older P and Mate models. Treat these as “possible”, not “confirmed”, and verify with the EID check.
