How long is an eSIM data plan valid?
Each plan carries its own validity — most commonly 7, 15 or 30 days — shown next to the data amount before you buy. The countdown starts when the eSIM activates at your destination, not when you pay.
Two clocks, not one
| Activation window | 180 days from purchase. The time you have to start using the plan. |
| Validity | 7, 15, 30 days or whatever the plan states. Runs from first connection at your destination. |
Buying two months before departure therefore wastes nothing: the plan sits unused until the eSIM connects abroad, and only then does its validity start counting.
How the days are counted
Validity runs in consecutive days from the moment of activation, not in days you happen to use. A 7-day plan activated at 09:00 on a Monday ends at 09:00 the following Monday, whether you used it every day or left the phone in a drawer.
Where to see the validity of a given plan
On the product page, next to each data amount. Every destination lists its own durations, and they differ from one plan to the next — check the one you are about to buy rather than assuming.
When the validity ends
The plan stops. The eSIM stays on your phone: you do not delete it or reinstall anything. To use it again — same trip or a trip a year later — enter your order number on the top-up page and add a new package to the same eSIM.
